Hillside Festival (Performers): July 14-16th, 2017.

Bands in order: Future Peers, Klô Pelgag, Nefe, Lisa LeBlanc, Xavier Rudd, and Irish Mythen.

These artists were my assigned bands which included the biggest artist with the biggest crowd, Xavier Rudd. I had an All Access pass and all ;D

Oh boy, what a weekend Hillside was! Not only my first festival to photograph, but I think my first festival.. in general!

It started off a bit overwhelming, but as I got my camera up, I felt immediately more comfortable. I camped which I liked, but also hated as I was beside drunk baby boomers who sung ALL NIGHT. Now as someone who has to sleep to be sane in the day AND had a concert of my favourite band 2 days after the festival, it wasn't nice for 2 nights. Now the volunteer camping is where it's AT. A drum circle around a fire party every night with fire breathers, glowing balloons and a apparently a wedding by the lake?! It was wild! So both sides of the festival were fantastic.

Other than that, everyone was incredibly friendly (as music people usually are), it was well organized and I'm really proud of my photos! I also had a lot of free time to relax and enjoy what was going on at the festival too like the music and food, which were local and lovely. I've gotten such nice feedback from the publicist that she said she'd love to have be back!

Nothing but good things to say about Hillside Festival and I can't wait to come back.
